Coronavirus Update 29 May 2020

Dear members and friends, 

As of Monday 1st June Titirangi Badminton Club will be back open for business….if not quite as normal!

Due to Government rules there will be the following restrictions and processes in place.Please ensure you read them, as failure to comply means we will sadly have to ask you to leave the building.  

General Processes

• If you are feeling unwell in any way please DO NOT come to club.

Club Nights

• Club will be open on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7pm and the club rooms upstairs will be open.
• You must sign in with the Duty Officer upstairs immediately.
• We will be back to using Bad Board again so you will get games with a greater mix of people spread over the four courts.
• We recommend you wash/sanitise your hands before/between and after games. The showers and kitchen remain closed.
• Members only – no visitors or spectators please (including children).
• Please ensure social distancing where possible and remember no high fives/hugs/sharing drinks/racquets etc.

Casual Court Hire for Members 

1. Courts will be available to hire to members from Monday 1st June.
2. As per our normal rules one member must be present per court at all times. Do not loan your fob to anybody. (A reminder to ensure all players wear non-marking shoes to protect our beautiful courts!).
3. Each person entering the hall MUST either sign the register at the front door or scan the QR code with their phone. Please ensure you do this otherwise we will cancel the fob of the member who booked the court. This information is required for contact tracing only, will not be used for any other purpose and will be disposed of appropriately.
4. We recommend you wash/sanitise your hands before/between and after games. The showers and kitchen remain closed.
5. Players only – no spectators please (including children).
6. At the end of your session please fill in the cleaning list in the book kept on the table near the entrance. Use the sanitising wipes provided to wipe down each specified area. The member who booked the court must tick each item to show everything has been sanitised and sign the page.This requirement is to ensure the health and safety of all players – any blatant disregard will result in fob cancellation.

Other

• No cash payments – please pay by credit card or bank transfer.  
• To play at club you must be a fully paid member.
• The hall and facilities have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitised and we will continue to do this after each club night. 

That’s all our official rules, so we would like to thank you for your patience and support over the past and next few weeks, it’s been great to see our members enjoying badminton again and we’re doing our best to balance the keenness of our members with the guidelines of the Government and NZ Sport!
